The intro
starts off with ships flying away from Thundera.
Ok, here's the deal. When Thundercats first aired way back in the 80's, there was this intro thing that lasted about 1 min. 38. sec. It sums up the first two episodes, but it does so without spoiling them. Much to my dismay, Cartoon Network never shows it. Fortunately, I've got it on tape. I've got some screen shots from the Lost Intro for you to see. These shots are always available here.

From beyond any known galaxy, bringing with them the laws and ideals of their green planet, Thundera, come the Thundercats. Jaga, the wise. Tygra, the invisible. Cheetara, the quick. Wily-Kat and Wily-Kit, a cunning junior duo. Panthro, the deadly. And...the Snarf. The Thundercats! All sworn to serve their young lord, Liono, and to instruct him in the secrets of the Eye of Thundera. The Eye, embedded in the hilt of the mystic Sword of Omens, and the source of the Thundercats' power. "Thunder... Thunder... Thunder, Thundercats, HO!" Pursuing the Thundercats to Third Earth, and determined to possess the Eye of Thundera for their own evil purposes, are the hidious Mutants from the planet Plun-Darr, led by the Reptilian, Slithe. They form an unholy alliance with the ageless devil priest of First Earth, Mumm-Ra.

The intro

Then the planet
explodes.
The Cat Symbol
pops up.
Then the intro
goes through the Thundercats. "Jaga, the wise."
The Cat Symbol
pops up again.
"Tygra, the
invisible." Tygra uses his whip and then disappears.
The Cat Symbol
pops up yet again.
"Chetara,
the quick." Chetara spins her staff around and then runs off.
Once more,
the Cat Symbol pops up.
"Wily-Kat
and Wily-Kit, a cunning junior duo." They hop around the screen and vanish
in puffs of smoke.
Guess what
pops up again.
"Panthro,
the deadly." He swings his nunchucks around really fast.
Um, I think
you know what happens here.
"And... the
Snarf." Snarf is eating some fruit in a tree, loses his balance, and has
to use his tail to keep from falling.
Last time.
Liono putting
on his Claw Shield. "The Thundercats! All sworn to serve their young lord,
Liono, and to instruct him..."
The camera
circles Liono as he raises the Sword of Omens. "...in the secrets of the
Eye of Thundera."
Liono looks
through the sword (but does not do the "sight beyond sight" thing). "The
Eye, embedded in the hilt of the mystic Sword of Omens and the source of
the Thundercats' power."
Liono then
does the "sword thing". "Thunder... Thunder... Thunder... Thundercats,
HO!"
"Pursuing
the Thundercats to Third Earth, and determined to possess the Eye of Thundera
for their own evil purposes..." Some cool Mutant ships fly around.
"...are the
hidious Mutants from the planet Plun-Darr..."
"...led by
the Reptilian, Slithe."
"They form
an unholy alliance with the ageless devil priest of First Earth..." Zooming
in on the Black Pyramid.
"...Mumm-Ra!"
Shows Mumm-Ra's sarcophagus opening.
Mumm-Ra pops
out...
...does a
quick change...
...and then
laughs maniacally.
