Galaxy Rangers

The Adventures of the Galaxy Rangers (GR for short), lasted one season (around 60 episodes).  Popular rumor has the reason that it did not go into a second season is that the toy deal fell through, and with it went the funding.  Anyway, the series consisted of four main cowboy types as the heros (and a few others), and a bunch of outlaws and an evil queen as the baddies.  The four main cowboys can "power up" by touching their star-shaped badges (more on that later).  The series was something like a cross between a western and Star Wars, so just about anything goes.  You want magical creatures and planets?  You go them.  You want high-tech wonders?  You got them.  You want the strange and bizarre?  You...well, you get the picture.  So, in this site, I am going to list a few major characters and what not, and put up a few pix.  Also, I'm going to list the cast of voice actors.  Those of you that are Thundercat fans might notice a familiar name...  I'm thinking Earl Hammond did both Captain Kidd AND Vultureman.  Note the voice similarities, especially at the end of the episode, Birds of a Feather.

PS:  Before I get started, I know there are other people, and places, and such, but these are the only ones I have available right now.  I will list more people and such when I get a chance.

Good Guys

Walsh He's like, the Galaxy Ranger's boss.  While he doesn't go on missions (too much), he makes all the important decisions, and generally runs the show from behind the scenes.
Zak Zak is the team's field captain.  He is a good leader, teammate, and fighter.  More or less, his whole left side is bionic.  His main power is that he could charge up his left arm and shoot really powerful bursts of energy from it.  (Pic shows him charging his arm)
Niko Niko is a psychic-type.  Her main power is that she can see into the past of an object, or "sense" things about an area, and has a bit of telepathy.  Also, she has telekinetic abilities, and can move things or make a shield.  Aside from that, she is a good fighter in hand to hand and shoot outs.
Doc This is the computer wizard of the team.  His ability is to charge up a canteen-looking thing, which holds programs, which then come out of the canteen, fly around, and do what he tells them to, like deactivate alarms, or open doors, or take over a computer system.  He also does a good job of communicating to computers without his programs.
Pic coming soon Goose Goose's main power is that he has "bio defenses", which sometimes act without him having to touch his badge, but usually not.  His bio-defenses often give the impression that he is a morpher (but he isn't).  If he is shot with a lazer, he can turn into a metal type person, for example, or if underwater, he can grow webbed fingers and gills.  He is also a great gunslinger.

Zozo Zozo is a Kiwi.  No, not a fruit.  Guess how Kiwis make a living...  They grow fruit.  (Bada ching).  Anyway, despite his small size, Zozo is smart, agile, and a good fighter.  Sometimes he is a bit self-centered, but who isn't.  He's kind of an ambassidor on Earth, from his home planet, Kirwin.  (The bottom pic was taken from the episode MothMoose, when Zozo is jammin').
"Little" Zak This is Zak's boy, Zachery Fox Jr.  He doesn't like to be left out of things, but doesn't often get to do too much because he is only fourteen.

Bad Guys

The Queen of the Crown This lady is bad news.  She takes people, zaps their lifeforce into crystals (sometimes it takes several people per one crystal, depending on their species).  She then uses the crystals to power and control magical beings called Slaverlords, which she uses to capture more people.  The "new" species to the galactic scene, humans, make excelent crystal "food"; one human per crystal.
Captain Kidd and Squeegie Kidd is an outlaw that keeps popping up during the series.  He looks not unlike, and has been refered to as, a giant chicken.  His voice sounds much like Vultureman (see top of page for more info).  One of my favorite GR villains.  Squeegie has a high pitched voice, and doesn't speak in very long sentences.
Quepp (?) This is Captain Kidd's pilot, navigator, etc.  Sometimes he is a bit of a smart mouth, stating the obvious when asked a question, or making smart remarks.  (Not sure on his name, but I think that is what Kidd called him in Traash)
Wild Bill Creb Kind of like Safari Joe.  This guy kidnapped the MothMoose of Kirwin, in hopes of making a star attraction of the stage.  Don't let his appearance fool you; he's devious and cunning, and not that nice, either.
McCraw Once, just another member of the Black Hole gang, he is now the leader.  He is a very dangerous, mean, and moody outlaw, so be on your toes if you meat him.
Daisy Omega She used to be the head of the Black Hole gang, until there was a mutainy.  Now, she is a solo outlaw.  She has a thick Irish-type accent, and a crush on Goose.

Everyone Else

Geeziee This guy provides the main source of info for the rangers, as far as bad guy opperations are concerned.  He is on the inside track of everything, but he doesn't want to talk about it, because the queen's spies might see him talking to the good guys.  Remember, you never saw him.  He doesn't exist.
MothMoose The MothMoose makes music through the six hollow horns on top of his head.  The music makes plants grow, extremely well.  This magical animal is very valuable to the Kiwis, because they rely on it to give them a good crop to harvest.
Bubble Head Bubble Head is one of the queen's memory birds.  His circuits are a bit scrabbled.  Doc was working on him/it to get it back to working order, but Bubble Head was stolen, and delivered back to the queen, with a mixed up formula for Supertrooper Juice.  He was really funny to listen to.
